Opposition's MPs Create Group against 'Closed Lists' in the Upcoming Elections
Five Members of the Parliament from the opposition created a group and objected this Friday the 'closed' lists in upcoming elections.
Those are Dashamir Shehi, Enkelejd Alibeaj, Flutura Açka, Arbi Agalliu and Salaudin Jakupllari.
"We are united by a clear and precise position without equivocation in support of justice. Relationships with strategic partners are essential. We are here because we think that today the opposition and the parliament have distanced themselves light years away from the public. One of the elements is the vote through open lists," said Alibeaj.
Meanwhile, Dashamir Shehi said that he is convinced that there are not only five MPs against the closed lists in the Assembly hall and encourages his colleagues to come out openly.
Asked by journalists how they will appear in the next parliamentary elections, Alibeaj said that they can present themselves as a coalition of parties.
"We can present ourselves as a coalition of parties. Our call is not only for our colleagues, but we also call on other non-parliamentary parties, other non-formalized flows and the Albanian elite to present themselves in the form of a political community, we will apply the system with open lists", said Alibeaj.
