Orban Warns World War III Is Near

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared that the world is closer than ever to the moment when a local conflict turns into a world war.

Orban said the leaders of the Western world are "struck by war fever", making speeches calling for victory in the war and sending increasingly dangerous weapons to Ukraine.

"Instead of promoting peace in unison, the world is divided," Orban said, adding that Turkey and Arab states, China and African countries want a ceasefire and peace talks.

He assessed that Hungary should have a strong army and at the same time promote peace.

"Hungary needs an effective armed force and the government is working to increase the number of soldiers, their dedication to their homeland and their calling, their level of training and their public reputation," he stressed.
