A 22-year-old man was injured in a shooting on Saturday evening in the village of Gjorm, within the Municipality of Kurbin, northern Albania, according to preliminary information.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he is receiving medical treatment.

A large police presence has been deployed to the scene as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Authorities have launched an investigation and are working to identify and apprehend the suspected perpetrator or perpetrators. Further details have not yet been released.
