Albanian Speaker of Parliament Gramoz Ruci received Wednesday in meeting the Ambassador of Poland Karol Bachura, on the occassion of the latter finishing his mandate in Albania.

Ruçi thanked Ambassador Bachura for his contribution to strengthening bilateral cooperation and the support that Poland has given to Albania's European integration.

From 1937, when diplomatic relations were established between the two countries until today, bilateral cooperation has been strengthened. In the recent years, they have been strengthened through the exchange of high-level visits and the organization of important activities of political, economic and trade cooperation.

"Albania is grateful to Poland for its determined support for the European integration of Albania and the Western Balkans, as well as for the active contribution to securing the support of the Visegrad Group. We appreciate Poland's vision for the necessity of the region's integration into the EU and not to leave it under the risk of non-Western influences. We are also grateful for the support for the reconstruction after the consequences of the earthquake of November 26 and the help for handling the pandemic ", underlined Speaker Ruçi.

On his part, Ambassador Bachura thanked the Speaker of Parliament for the appreciation of the Albanian-Polish cooperation as well as the appreciation of his contribution as Ambassador in strengthening this cooperation.
