Ambassador of US to Albania, Yuri Kim has informed Thursday that Prime Minister Edi Rama has highlighted Tom Doshi will have no role in any government formed.

This reaction by the US Ambassador to Tirana came after Doshi submitted his request to register for the next parliamentary elections that will be held on April 25.

“Let me end the speculation: PM Edi Rama & I have a clear understanding of what this designation means. In fact, the PM reminded me that he had personally expelled this person from the Socialist Party. He emphasized that this person would have no role in any government he forms”, tweeted the US Ambassador.

Even two days ago, Ambassador Kim had demanded that Head of the Social Democratic Party Doshi does not run in the April 25 elections.

Through a status on Twitter, two days ago, Ambassador Kim reposted the statement of the US State Department, which put on the "blacklist" the MP of the Social Democratic Party, Tom Doshin. 

Doshi was denied a visa to the US in 2018. As she shared the 2018 statement, Ambassador Kim writes that it is worth remembering the DASH announcement, adding that Albanian voters deserve more than that. 

"While the Albanian election authorities are preparing for the elections, it is worth remembering this warning made by the US Secretary of State after careful review of the information. Certainly, the voters of Albania deserve more," stated the US Ambassador two days ago.
