President of Republic, Ilir Meta awarded the high title "Grand Master" to the prominent Albanian composer and conductor David Tukiçi. 

The title in question was given with the motivation: “In appreciation of the merits and valuable contributions as a singer, musician and orchestra conductor, who has created many works of art with high quality, being appreciated both in our country and on the international scene. With gratitude for his artistic activity as one of the rare composers of classical music.

"In gratitude for the activity and valuable and versatile artistic contributions as a singer, musician, orchestra conductor and as one of the most prominent composers of classical music and that based on traditional Albanian motifs, today I had the special pleasure to honour the with the High Title "Grand Master", the well-known artist David Tukiçi. 

An excellent ambassador of Albanian art, winner of dozens of international awards and recognitions, especially in Italy where he was honoured by President Scalfaro with the title 'Italian Citizenship' for his contribution to the spread of musical culture, Maestro Tukiçi still continues to contribute not only for the preservation of national artistic values ??but also for the new European spirit, which has introduced in Albanian music. 

I wished him further success in his creativity, convinced that this appreciation will encourage him and the new generation of Albanian musicians towards new achievements.
