With the motto "No less women and girls, no more deaths", the non-governmental organization Artpolis, held on Sunday, December 5, a protest in Pristina, to stop violence against women.

The protesters, dressed in white and with improvised signs of violence on their faces, marched in the main squares of Pristina, to stop in front of the building of the Government of Kosovo, where they placed on the ground a sign with the motto of this protest.

The organizers of this protest said that they are seeking justice for girls and women abused in the family and society as well as justice for those who lost their lives as a result of domestic violence.

The head of the Artpolis organization, Zana Hoxha, said that the systematic abuse of girls and women and their deaths as a result of violence is also occurring due to the lack of a proper institutional response to prevent and "distribute deserved punishments for perpetrators of these acts."

In Kosovo, women make up the majority of victims of domestic violence.
