Rama Not Authorized to Write Association Draft; Vucic
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has reacted to the proposal of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, for the Association of Municipalities. He said that he respects Prime Minister Rama, but that he is not authorized to draw up the statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.
Vucic added that Rama is not a member of the Management Team and therefore cannot draft the statute for the Association.
"As far as I know, Edi Rama is not a member of the Serbian Management Team. Not even the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, who seems to want to be part of that team, as he also has something written, but he has no right to have it written", said Vucic to the Serbian media.
Vucic added that there is nothing to discuss about the Association anymore, since the parties have agreed on the agreement with the former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa.
"We have nothing to negotiate here. Give us only the principles and bodies of the Association as negotiated and as I initialized it in 2015 with (at that time the Prime Minister of Kosovo) Isa Mustafa. We ask for nothing more. Do you know when it will be? Never, certainly not while Kurti is in power," added the Serbian president.
