Rama Refuses Resignation Calls, Defends Government Over Environmental Concerns
Prime Minister Edi Rama rejected calls for his resignation while responding to criticism related to environmental concerns and development projects.
Speaking publicly, Rama argued that those genuinely concerned about nature and wildlife should seek facts rather than rely on what he described as misinformation. He said the discussion should be based on the truth about the impact of development projects rather than political slogans.
Rama also dismissed demands for his resignation, questioning what such a move would achieve and linking his government’s work to Albania’s strategic goal of joining the European Union. He said the ruling Socialist Party’s mission remains focused on advancing the country’s EU accession process.
The prime minister further argued that Albania needs strong representation during negotiations and decision-making processes related to its European integration ambitions.
