Democratic Party (DP) has denounced Wednesday through the member of the National Council, Akil Kraja another theft that is happening with the Reconstruction Fund. 

DP's Kraja said that the Municipality of Tirana is building a new building for Taxation Directorate worth EUR 2.4 million, money that should have been used for people left homeless due to the earthquake. 

"According to the decision taken by Erion Veliaj, the new building of the General Directorate of Taxation will be constructed in the area of ​​'5 May', where apartments have been tendered for the quake-affected citizens, with a total amount of EUR 52 million. 

Of the 12 buildings that will be built, that of the General Directorate of Taxes will occupy an area of ​​about 5.000 m2 of space where apartments should have been built for those affected by the earthquake.

Only with the building of the General Directorate of Taxation, which is currently operational, the 'Disaster Thieves' will extort EUR 2.4 million from the Reconstruction Fund," said Kraja among other things.
