Former Minister Saimir Tahiri spent the first night in the detention rooms of 313 in Tirana. 

Sources suggest that the former Minister of Interior spent the night alone in his cell. Meanwhile, it is learned that he greeted and talked to the prison guards, where he did not appear at all worried or tense. Among other things, it is learned that there was no television in his cell. The day before, after a marathon session, the Special Court of Appeal sentenced Saimir Tahiri to 5 years in prison for 'Abuse of Duty', whose sentence was reduced to 3 years and 4 months in prison with a shortened trial. 

Tahiri was convicted only of "Abuse of duty" by escaping the charges of "Corruption of senior officials", "Trafficking in narcotics committed in collaboration" and "Structured criminal group" 

Meanwhile, in the arguments of the decision, the Special Appeal underlines that it turns out that Tahiri has connections with Moisi Habilaj and Artan Habilaj and these connections have influenced the criminal group to infiltrate the ranks of police and state employees and hinder the fight against drug trafficking.
