The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has sentenced seven defendants in the high-profile “Revanshi” case, following a trial conducted under expedited proceedings.

Durim Bami received the longest sentence, 10 years and eight months in prison. Oltion Zefi was sentenced to 10 years, while Edson Jozwik received eight years.

The court sentenced Altin Morina to six years and eight months, Henerigert Mitri to five years and four months, and Jozi Kraja and Aldo Avdyli to four years and eight months each.

The defendants were convicted of various offenses, including involvement in a structured criminal group, drug trafficking or cultivation, providing the means and conditions for murder, and illegal possession of firearms, depending on the individual case.

The court also acquitted Bami of one charge related to allegedly providing the conditions and means to carry out a murder against two individuals.

The sentences are significantly lower than those sought by Albania’s Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK), which had requested prison terms ranging from six to 14 years under expedited proceedings.

The ruling can be appealed before Albania’s Special Court of Appeals for Corruption and Organized Crime within 15 days of notification.
