Tirana Police managed to arrest this Friday an 18-year-old, who had been wanted for two days after trying to kill a 16-year-old with a firearm.

Law enforcement revealed that a 19-year-old associate of his, who is suspected of having helped him in the realization of the event, has also been arrested.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these 2 citizens, on 18.10.2023, after a momentary conflict for weak motives, tried to kill with firearms the 16-year-old, who is in the hospital, under the care of doctors.

In the meantime, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for further actions.

"In continuation of the investigative actions carried out for the clarification and complete documentation of the event that happened on 18.10.2023, around 16:10, on "OSBE" street, Kamëz, where an attempt was made to kill a 16-year-old with a firearm , the specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Serious Crimes against Person and Property, in cooperation with Police Station No. 5, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Catch".

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested and detained: A. H., 18 years old and Xh. Ç., 19 years old, both residents of Kamez.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these 2 citizens, on 18.10.2023, after a momentary conflict for weak motives, tried to kill with firearms the 16-year-old, who is in the hospital, under the care of doctors.

As material evidence, the vehicle with which the 2 suspected perpetrators left the scene was seized", said the police.
