Prime Minister Edi Rama said last week that Albania must continue expanding its civil aviation system to respond to the increase in the number of passengers and flights in the coming years.

“The government is in the final phase of preparations for opening the competition for the Gjirokastra Airport, which will function as a tourist and seasonal airport,” said Rama.

The news of the opening of the competition for the Gjirokastra tourist airport has been described as a positive step by the mayor of Gjirokastra, Flamur Golemi, as of the most important centers of year-round tourism.
