Three employees of the Peqin prison have been suspended from their duties, after suspicions that they allowed the introduction of narcotics into the cells in exchange for money. 

Court of First Instance of Elbasan has determined the measure "Prohibition of exiting the country" and "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service" to the officers with following initials: S.G, S.G and Xh.B.

According to the investigations, over a long period of time and in different periods, they have benefited from monetary values in exchange for allowing of narcotics in cells. 

The Internal Control Service in the Prison System has documented at least three such cases. Meanwhile, sources say that several other employees are also under investigation.
