The completion of the implementation of the Tirana-Durres railway project is expected to be completed within 2024. This was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has also distributed some photos of the works being carried out in this infrastructural work, which according to him will offer citizens an extra alternative in their transportation and at a cheap cost. 

The head of the government says that this new work will reduce the travel time from Tirana to Durrës from 22 to 12 minutes. According to him, Albanian citizens should choose the alternative, which takes them "only forward". 

"The Tirana-Durrës railway is another important project, which is advancing every day, where the physical completion of the work is expected to be completed in 2024. Citizens will have at their disposal a new form of transport, missing until now, at a lower cost and without any impact on the environment. Thanks to this railway line, the travel time from Tirana-Durrës will be 22 minutes and Tirana-Rinas only 12 minutes. Only forward", writes Rama.
