Tirana Prosecution Seeks Precautionary Measures for 36 Persons Involved in Drug Distribution in the Capital
The security measures of "Remand in Custody” for 36 persons charged with the criminal offense of "Production and trafficking of narcotics" committed in complicity, as stipulated in Article 283/2 of the Criminal Code, were imposed at the request of Tirana Prosecution Office.
A three-month investigation, conducted using specialized techniques and in partnership with the Narcotics Investigation Section of the State Police, collected and secured evidence and proof of this illicit activity.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the "Remand in custody" measure was enforced for 20 individuals, specifically on the following citizens:
A.Sh., I.B., V.A., Xh.Gj., J.I., E.O., A.Ç., A.G., K.N., A.C., S.D., E.M., E.H., E.I., G.H., A.M., E.K., A.K., E.M., and I.C.
Meanwhile, efforts continue to execute the measures against 16 other people who have been declared wanted.
During the investigation and the enforcement of precautionary measures, 2 kg and 50 g of suspected cocaine, 60 kg and 300 g of suspected cannabis sativa, 14 mobile phones, 3 electronic scales, 3 hunting rifles, 1 pistol, and 121,000 euros were confiscated.
The investigations are ongoing for other individuals involved in the case.
