Tirana Prosecution Send Three to Trial Over Alleged Fraudulent Call Center Scheme
Tirana Prosecution has completed their investigation and sent three individuals to trial over their alleged involvement in a fraudulent call center operation accused of targeting foreign victims.
According to the prosecution, Klaudio Sulejmëni and Franko Karemani recruited employees and trained them to persuade foreign nationals that they could recover money lost in previous investment scams. Investigators say agents gathered information about victims' financial losses before referring them to the alleged organizers, who continued the process.
The two men have been charged with computer fraud, while Eriglen Arapi has been charged with failure to report a crime. The investigation began after authorities uncovered the illegal call center operating from offices in the Selitë area of Tirana, where the suspects and several employees were found conducting calls during a police operation.
