Tirana Prosecution Takes Vladimir Kola to Court for the Murder of Briken Sanaj in Tirana
Tirana Prosecution Office concluded its investigation and took citizen Vladimir Kola to court on charges of “Premeditated Murder” and “Manufacture and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition” regarding the murder of citizen Briken Sanaj at the 'Kodra e Diellit' complex on October 30, 2022.
Additionally, Tirana Prosecution has brought four other individuals—Gj.K., K.A., E.H., and Z.K.—to trial for the criminal offenses of “Failure to Report a Crime” and “Supporting the Perpetrator”.
The investigation into criminal case no. 7911, 2024, led by Tirana Prosecution Office, revealed that in 2012, the victim's brother had a conflict with the perpetrator's brothers following their harassment of his fiancée.
The prosecution, after the investigations into the October 2022 incident, where citizen B.S. was shot, and after examining security footage, the crime scene, and administering expert analyses, concluded that defendant V.K. traveled from Barcelona to Podgorica Airport, entered Albania illegally without registering at the border control point, and then purchased a vehicle using the registration of another car. After the murder of citizen B.S., the vehicle was found burned in the village of Domje. The crime weapon was found in the car, while the perpetrator later crossed back into Montenegro illicitly.
In light of the above, the prosecution requested that all five defendants be brought to trial.
