Tirana, Three Detained in Prostitution Network Crack-Down

Another case of exploitation of prostitution in Tirana has been cracked down on Saturday, as the police informed that three people were put in handcuffs, after the finalization of the operation codenamed "Compensation".

The arrested were: A. Z., 24 years old, resident in Vishnje, Tirana, for the criminal offense "Exploitation of prostitution"; E. H., 33 years old, resident in Kombinat, for the criminal offense "Prostitution"; Xh. T., 33 years old, resident in Kukës, for the criminal offense "Prostitution".

According to the police, several months of investigations have shown that the citizen E. H., exercised the illegal activity of prostitution with various clients against monetary rewards, while the citizen A. Z., mediated the clients.

"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes in the Police Commissariat No. 6, in cooperation with the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Tirana, following the work to crack down on illegality, after several months of investigative work, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed" Compensation ”.

As part of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

- A. Z., 24 years old, resident in Vishnje, Tirana, for the criminal offense "Exploitation of prostitution";

- E. H., 33 years old, resident in Kombinat, for the criminal offense "Prostitution";

- Xh. T., 33 years old, resident in Kukës, for the criminal offense "Prostitution".

From the investigative actions carried out, it has resulted that the citizen E. H., exercised the illegal activity of prostitution with different clients against monetary rewards, while the citizen A. Z., mediated with the clients.

Under the direction of the Prosecution, the work continues for the complete documentation and identification of other persons involved in this illegal activity.

The materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Tirana Court of First Instance, for further procedural actions”, notified the law enforcement.
