UBT Joins Protest of Medical Students

The union and the students of Agricultural University of Tirana (UBT) are in solidarity after the call for protest by the medical students to oppose the government's decision which put a condition on the 5-year contract to get the diploma.

It is learned that the students of UBT will protest tomorrow at 10:00 in front of the Agronomy building.

On the other hand, medical students have warned of protest after the government's decision which banns them 5 years to leave the country. They do not agree with the decision made public by Prime Minister Edi Rama and therefore on Thursday at 10:00 they announced a protest near the faculty.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, after the meeting of the government, has shown the condition imposed on students who will be enrolled at the University of Medicine. He said the latter must work in the country for 5 years after their studies, otherwise they must pay a fee.

The Minister of Education, Evis Kushi clarified that this draft law will be presented to the Assembly with an accelerated procedure, since the high school graduates have the additional digitized exam in August and must approve it within July.
