US Ambassador Encourages SPAK for Further Results in 2023

Ambassador of the United States to Tirana, Yuri Kim has encouraged this Saturday the Special Prosecution against Organized Crime and Corruption (SPAK) to accomplish more results in its fight against organized crime kingpins.

In a social media statement, the diplomat underlined her country is continuously working to increase accountability, transparency and fight corrupt acts, while reminding how over 70 corrupt foreign officials and their immediate family members were designated and denied entry into the US.

"Great to see SPAK Albania recognized for its accomplishments in 2022. Looking forward to more results. 

US continues to lead the effort to increase accountability & transparency & counter corrupt acts.  In 2022, ?State Department publicly designated 70+ corrupt foreign officials & immediate family members & denied them entry into US under Sect. 7031(c)
