US ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim has congratulated this Wednesday the appointment and swearing in of jurist Gent Ibrahimi, as member of the Constitutional Court.

Through a social media statement, Ambassador Kim described Ibrahim's oath taking as an important moment in the implementation of Justice Reform.

"The 9th judge was sworn in to Albanian Constitutional Ct. ConstCt achieved functionality in Dec 2020 with 7 judges. Now - for 1st time since Oct 2016 - ConstCt has full bench. This is a significant milestone in implementation of justice reform. Gur mbi gur… 

This was the result of cooperation of institutions, incl Presidency, Parliament, Judicial Appointments Council, High Court. Next step: Looking forward to completion of High Court bench early next year so that more cases can be processed in a timely manner. Urime & suksese", tweeted the US Ambassador.
