US Embassy's Official Completes Diplomatic Mission in Albania

After the departure of Ambassador Yuri Kim, another senior official of the US embassy in Tirana has completed his mission in Albania. 

The embassy team has announced the departure of the Deputy Head of Mission, Demian Smith, who served in Albania for a period of about 2 years. 

Through a post on social networks, the Embassy team has shared images from the departure party of Demian, who is expected to take another post in Washington. 

We remind you that earlier also Ambassador Yuri Kim completed her mission in Albania. She took the post of Deputy Assistant Secretary for European Affairs at the US State Department. 

"U.S. Embassy staff bid farewell to Deputy Chief of Mission/ Charge d’Affaires Demian Smith this week after two years of service in Albania. The Embassy team gathered to wish Demian and his family well as he returns to Washington DC for his next assignment. Employees thanked Demian for his leadership, strong advocacy, and compassion that he showed towards everyone at U.S. Embassy Tirana. We will miss his warmth, positive attitude, and, above all, the Stars and Stripes suit on the 4th of July! All the best Mr. Smith," it is stated in the official page of the embassy.
