US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim has underlined Tuesday that USD 50 million have been dedicated to Albania for its protection against cyber attacks.

At the conference on cyber security challenges, Ambassador Kim said that this is only the beginning of the assistance from the USA, adding that in 2017, assistance with the energy sector began.

"US have worked alongside Albania together with our allies in responding to Iran. It is clear that Albania and the USA must identify common defense. There are fully 50 million dollars in support of defense against cyber attacks for Albania.

This is only the beginning of the assistance and it is not its completeness. Since 2017, we have started helping the energy sector. We are also working with the private sector. We cannot protect you, but we are by your side to help you", said the American ambassador in Tirana, among other things", Ambassador Kim said.
