The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, was transported this Monday to the security Block near commissariat no. 3.

After he was taken from his office at Tirana Municipality, he was transported to the prison, while further details are expected to be made public soon.

Veliaj is arrested for 'Passive Corruption' and 'Money Laundry' charges. 

He was under investigation since last April while recently was called to testify at SPAK.
