Violence Erupts as Outrage over Young Man Killed by Police

The protest that started peacefully after police shot dead a young man in Tirana, degenerated in violence on Wednesday as crowd expressed outrage after the death of Klodian Rasha by police officers.

Dozens of angry protesters clashed with police, throw stones towards Prime Ministry building and burned a Christmas tree in front of Premier's office. 

Police used tear gas in attempts to disperse the crowd fueling the anger among protesters who reacted with stones and fire.

More than 17,000 National Guard troops have been activated in states across the U.S. due to civil unrest as of Monday, and that number is expected to grow. Police informed that so far were injured nine police officers as situation continue to be tense.
