An 80-year-old woman with the initials V.M. passed away this Thursday, after the apartment where she lived was engulfed in flames. 

Police inform that the incident took place on "Celo Sinani" street in Tirana while the elderly woman allegedly died as a result of asphyxiation. 

"On 22.09.2022, on "Celo Sinani" street, there was a fire in the apartment of citizen M. L. 

As a result of the spread of the flames, citizen V. M., 80 years old, died due to asphyxiation. The investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the event," the police announcement states.
