28-Year-Old Man Killed in Shooting in Tirana, Suspect Remains at Large
A 28-year-old man was shot dead in the Paskuqan area of Tirana on Monday following what police described as a dispute over minor motives.
According to investigators, the victim, identified as Ardian Baloshi, was involved in an altercation with a neighbor near Dervish Luzha Street, where the incident occurred. The suspect, identified by police as 39-year-old Sadik Llanaj, allegedly drew a firearm and opened fire during the confrontation.
An eyewitness who narrowly escaped the gunfire immediately transported the wounded man to the Trauma Hospital in a private vehicle. Medical staff received the victim at the emergency department at approximately 11:25 a.m., but he showed no signs of life upon arrival.
The witness accompanying Baloshi, reportedly a friend of the victim, was also targeted by the gunman. However, he was not injured in the attack.
Crime scene investigators recovered ten shell casings at the location. Preliminary findings indicate that a single bullet struck Baloshi in the head, causing fatal injuries.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene. Police have launched a large-scale operation and deployed officers across major roadways in an effort to locate and apprehend him.
Authorities believe Llanaj may still be carrying the weapon used in the killing. The firearm has not yet been recovered, and investigators continue searching nearby areas where it may have been discarded.
The investigation remains ongoing.
