Albania Bans Electoral Meetings, Weddings, Mortuary Ceremonies to Fight Virus Outbreak

The Committee of the Technical Experts in Albania has announced major restrictions on Tuesday across the state on movement  in public spaces, banning gatherings of more than ten people and urged to people to self-isolate.

In a conference for the media, the experts decided to ban all gatherings with more than 10 persons in indoors or outdoors spaces until a second notice in order to control the virus spread as the level of new infections registered a new record with more than 600 people affected by Covid-19 in 24-hours. 

They also banned electoral campaign on the eve of the Parliamentary elections of April 25. 

"We have decided to ban all gatherings indoors or outdoors with more than 10 people. We have also banned party meetings and gatherings, conferences, wedding ceremonies and funeral arrangements until a second decision," said the Healtj expert Albana Fico.
