Four wildfires remain active in Albania, with emergency crews deployed across the country as authorities work to contain blazes in several mountainous areas.

In Dibër County, two fires are currently active. A blaze above the village of Vajkal in Bulqizë reignited early Thursday, with 30 firefighters and one Air Force helicopter deployed to the area. Flames have spread across several nearby points, raising suspicions that the fire may have been deliberately started. There is currently no threat to populated areas.

Another fire is burning in Qafa e Helmës, also in Bulqizë, across an area of shrubs and pine trees. A total of 55 personnel are working at the two sites.

Two additional fires remain active in Elbasan County. Crews are working to extinguish burning vegetation and tree trunks on Mount Qukës in Prrenjas, while a fire on Mount Dardhë in Librazhd has been isolated and remains under control. Neither poses a threat to homes.

The situation on Mount Dajt, near Tirana, has improved after rainfall the previous day helped isolate the remaining hotspots. Authorities had deployed 38 local operational personnel and 50 members of the Armed Forces.

In Fushë-Krujë, a landfill in Kameras has caught fire again, with authorities suspecting the blaze may have been deliberately started.

According to Albania's Ministry of Defense, 28 wildfires were reported nationwide over the past 24 hours. Four remain active and three others are under monitoring.

Overall, 330 operational personnel and 35 firefighting vehicles have been deployed, while the Armed Forces are supporting the response with 50 personnel and one helicopter.
