Prime Minister Edi Rama says that Albania meets all the conditions and becomes a member with full rights of the European Civil Protection Mechanism. 

According to Rama, every natural disaster of Albania is at the same time a natural disaster of the European Union, which immediately sets in motion the European Protection mechanism, committing means, people and funds for Albania to cope with the emergency. 

The head of the government writes that today we are one step closer to the EU and the EU is one step closer to us, on a path that is now becoming more and more common every day. 

"Albania meets all the conditions and becomes a member with full rights of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, which means that every natural disaster of ours is simultaneously a natural disaster of the European Union, which immediately sets the European defence mechanism in motion, committed means, people and funds for Albania to cope with the emergency

Gratitude to the European Commissioner for Crisis Management, Janez Lenarcic, without whose support this significant achievement would still be unrealized," Rama wrote.
