The number of people who have died in Albania as a result of Covid-19 has gone up by 9 in one day, the highest increase since the first outbreak on March this year.  The figure for deaths is the highest daily reported since 7 deaths were reported two days ago.

Ministry of Health has reported Sunday that 9 citizens have lost their lives to the SARS-CoV-2, amounting to a death toll of 518. The fatalities today are a 44-year-old and 69-year-old from Tirana, a 60-year-old from Mati, 65-year-old from Durrës, 66-year-old Tropojë, 68-year-old from Pogradec, 71-year-old from Elbasan, 71-year-old from Berat and a 78-year-old from Korça.

1.2 million people have died due to Covid-19 worldwide as many countries are facing a second wave with more infections recorded in a single day.
