Albanian Court Confirms Security Measure Against Ergys Agasi in AKSHI Investigation

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has confirmed the security measure imposed on Ergys Agasi, who was arrested two days ago as part of an investigation led by the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK).

The court’s decision came after reviewing a request submitted by Agasi’s defense team.

Agasi had been declared wanted by SPAK as part of an investigation into alleged irregularities and suspected wrongdoing linked to the National Agency of Information Society (AKSHI).

Special prosecutors have brought several charges against Agasi, including corruption, as the investigation continues.

His lawyers said they will appeal the court’s decision.

The case is part of a broader series of investigations by SPAK into alleged corruption and irregularities involving public institutions and government contracts.
