The National Assembly of the Democratic Party (DP), convened by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, is expected to take place this Saturday, 11 December. The organization will take place at the "Air Albania" stadium. 

Given the warnings that there may be riots over the next day, State Police Director Gledis Nano said the blue uniforms are on standby. In a statement to the media, he did not say if there is information about the protests but added that based on the developments, the State Police will also act. 

"The police are always on alert. The police are focused on maintaining order and creating a safe environment for citizens. Police has been driven with access to information and intelligence. Based on the information we will have from the state police, measures will be taken", stated Nano. 

The Director-General was also asked about the departure of the wanted persons to Dubai and how he can be restrained. Gledis Nano replied that they are in contact with the international authorities of the Emirates to find a solution to this issue. 

"We are in constant communication with all Albanian and international institutions and the institutions of justice of the Emirates to find a solution to this issue", stated Nano.
