Former Democratic Party (DP) leader Lulzim Basha has expressed his condolences for the death of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. 

In a Twitter message, Basha expressed gratitude for her firm support for Albania's NATO membership process. 

"RIP Madeleine Albright, the first female Secretary of State in the United States. Always grateful for its determined support for Albania's PfP and NATO membership process. Albanians will never forget its push for the alliance to take decisive action to stop genocide and ethnic cleansing in Kosovo," noted Basha.
