Ambassador of the United States to Tirana, Yuri Kim has shared Tuesday a picture of her meeting with former Ambassadors of her country who have served in Albania during the last 31 years.

On a social media statement, she underlined that some of these Ambassadors are: Bill Ryerson, Marisa Lino, Jim Jeffrey, Marcie Ries, Alex Arvizu.

Moreover, Ambassador Kim underlined that the diplomats have had different experiences since Albania broke free of communism, but the “belief that the bond between the American and Albanian people is truly special” is what they have in common.

“A wonderful gathering in Washington with former US ambassadors to Albania - Bill Ryerson, Marisa Lino, Jim Jeffrey, Marcie Ries, Alex Arvizu. We each have had different experiences spanning 31 years since the Albanian people broke free of the chains of communist dictatorship, but we have one thing in common: belief that the bond between the American and Albanian people is truly special, admiration for how much the Albanian people have accomplished despite the odds, and enduring optimism about the future”, underlined the US Ambassador.
