Businessman Killed in Tirana, Son Confesses Conversation with Murder
Ruzhdi Hoxha's eldest son, Saimir Hoxha, told the police that he and his relatives had been looking for the victim for 4 days, before going to the police.
In his testimony at the police station, the son of the victim, whose body was found dead today in Dajt, said that after asking all his father's friends and acquaintances, he also called Fredi Rrushi. The latter is the main suspect by the police for the kidnapping and murder of the businessman.
The businessman's son, in his testimony, also told the conversation he had with Fredi Rrushi, who reportedly told him that he left his father at midnight in Tirana and that he would to come and get a oyster.
Excerpts from Saimir Hoxha's testimony:
I am the eldest son of Ruzhdi Hoxha, I appear at the police station to denounce the fact that my father left the apartment on the afternoon of 20.10.2021.
From the apartment my father came out with E.T who came and took him home with his vehicle but I do not know where they would go. As my father was not coming to the apartment, I called him and the phone went off. As of October 20, neither I nor my family have any contact on where he is, where he has gone or what happened to him.
The moment my father left home with E.T whom I know before as he is a friend of our family. Since Dad was not coming to the apartment and we lost contact with him, along with E.T and my brother, we searched the hotels and places he usually attends but were told they had not seen him. In these conditions we reported to the police station. We were worried about him because it is the first time such a thing happens, that when he does not come home he notifies us and tells us where he will be.
I have to say that my dad has led a very debauched life as a person, having been a cocaine user. He went out every night with friends and there were constant cases that when he drank a lot of drinks or consumed narcotics, he stayed sleeping in the hotel for two or 3 days, but at least he informed us of his whereabouts.
Given the fact that his phone was turned off and the location was not notified, we suspected that he might have had a serious problem. To my knowledge, my father did not owe the man, all the debts he had before, I paid for him.
There were no conflicts either. During this time I have met some people with whom my father has social ties, such as E.B who told me that together with E.T they had left their father with Fredi Rrushi.
Then I called Fredi Rrushi and asked for an appointment to ask where Dad is, as Fredi was the last person he had met. Fredi told me that he is not at home but he went to work in Martanesh, and he told me on the phone that he left my father at midnight in Tirana and a girl took him over.
