Constitutional Court Suspends Ratification of Migration Deal with Italy
The Constitutional Court has announced that it will examine the lawsuit filed by the opposition MPs against the agreement with Italy for immigrants. In this way, the ratification procedure in the Parliament of the agreement with Italy is automatically suspended.
This decision of the Constitutional Court comes at a time when the socialist majority had planned to approve the agreement in this Thursday's session.
Head of the Constitutional Court, Holta Zacaj, after the decision in a communication with journalists, informed that this decision-making will be immediately notified to the Parliament, which is obliged to interrupt the parliamentary procedures for ratification in the plenary session.
