Over 100 small parties will be fined up to ALL 2 million, as they have not submitted the Annual Finance Report for 2020 to the Central Election Commission.

The Chief Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi approved this Thursday the decision that will force small parties to pay a fine of up to ALL 2 million.

“Taking an administrative measure, a fine in the amount of ALL 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 for 106 (one hundred and six) political parties that have not submitted an annual financial report to the Central Election Commission, refusing to make the sources of funding transparent or to allow the exercise of control by licensed accounting experts, as they have not submitted annual financial reports for the calendar year 2020 ", it is stated in the draft decision of the CEC.

The Albanian Labour Party is also on the long list of parties that have been fined by the CEC. Also, together with the Communist Party, the National Front Party headed by Adriatik Alimadhi was fined. We recall that Alimadhi entered Parliament as a deputy since 2019, when the Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration burned seats. But, eventhough in Parliament, Alimadhi does not seem to have mastered all the administrative rules for the party he leads. In the list of fined parties is also the Party of Pensioners of the MP who stood out for his special presence in Parliament, Selami Jenisheri.
