EU ambassador, Christiane Hohmann, will leave Albania after only one year in this position. 

Hohmann may go to Iraq as Germany's ambassador. EU Delegation has clarified that Hohmann will return to the German Foreign Service from September 1, 2023 for her next high-ranking post. 

Before starting her duties in Albania, in August 2022, Christiane Hohmann was the ambassador of Germany to Estonia. Previously, she served as Berlin's ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016-2019.
