Police have arrested three individuals and launched criminal proceedings against five others following two operations targeting drug trafficking, smuggling, undeclared valuables, and illegal border crossing assistance.

The operations, codenamed “The Hill” and “Transportimi,” resulted in the seizure of 207 doses of cocaine, 90 doses of cannabis, four suspected diamonds, cash in euros and Albanian lek, one vehicle, and 12 mobile phones.

Authorities said one suspect was arrested for alleged street-level drug distribution in Durrës, while two others were detained at the Port of Durrës. One was found carrying four suspected diamonds without documentation, while another was allegedly transporting cocaine and assisting four passengers in attempting an illegal border crossing.

The case has been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office of Durrës for further investigation and legal action.
