Council of Ministers’ 2026 Recommendations for Combating Crime Presented at the GPO

Today, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Toni Gogu, presented the Council of Ministers’ 2026 recommendations for combating crime at the General Prosecutor’s Office.
The meeting was attended by Attorney General Mr. Olsian Çela, Head of the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Structure (SPAK) Mr. Klodian Braho, and chief prosecutors from general jurisdiction offices nationwide.
The Minister of Justice emphasized the importance of implementing these recommendations and strengthening institutional cooperation in achieving the standards required within the European integration process. In his remarks, he focused on three key recommendations concerning the fight against tax evasion, cybercrime, and violations of road traffic regulations, along with other criminal offenses related to them.
During the meeting, the leaders of the three institutions positively assessed the achievements recorded in 2025 in addressing priority recommendations. All attendees expressed a strong commitment to further enhancing coordination and cooperation, ensuring the effective execution of the Council of Ministers’ recommendations, and supporting the efficient functioning of the justice system.
