Democrat Accuses Parl. Speaker of Denying Right of Speech to Opposition MPs

Democrat MP, Gazment Bardhi has addressed Thursday the Speaker of Parliament, Lindita Nikolla accusing her of having violated the regulations in the previous session, denying the right to sppech to 54 opposition MPs.

Bardhi said he agrees to make a motion with debate, with unlimited time, on the case of the former FBI official, Charles McGoigal, and the mention of the name of Prime Minister Edi Rama in the indictment.

"Speeches of 54 opposition MPs are missing from the minutes. Contrary to the regulation, just out of fear that the prime minister would face the opposition, you took away the right to speak from 54 opposition MPs in the previous session.

According to the regulation, if chaos is caused in the hall, the leader suspends the session. If chaos continues, the session is adjourned and the agenda is moved. The only act you can do today is to cancel that shameful voting process, where laws were approved without recognizing them and the constitutional right was given to the opposition MPs", said Bardhi.
