Democrat Accuses PM of Breaking Electoral Freedoms in April 25 Polls
Former and elected MP of Democratic Party (DP), Albana Vokshi accused Saturday Prime Minister Edi Rama of violating the freedoms and justice of elections while talking about the general ballots of April 25, 2021 and the so-called “electoral massacreâ€.
In her speech, Vokshi spoke at length for the issue of patronageism, calling it the rebirth of the worst we thought disappeared with communism. The data of all voters throughout Albania were made available to the SP election headquarters, as far as she is concerned.
Furthermore, she stressed that the theft of personal data of each voter with permission and order of Edi Rama, is not only the most ugly phenomenon that accompanied these elections, but also the most serious electoral crime, which occurred in Albania.
“I am deeply touched and grateful to every woman, girl, every mother, to every man, boy and parent, who made the night day and sacrificed the day every hour and minute on the field, door to door, to explain to the people, the alternative of the PD development program, to clarify the European vocation of the DNA of our party, to convince the youth that only the PD led by Lulzim Basha restores the hope and development of Albania.
As a political leader, I was asked to report to the Assembly for the analysis of the election result, the election massacre, for the two branches that I headed in units 9 and 11 in Tirana.
But I want to treat this analysis from another point of view, because I want to share with you some findings of an analysis that I have done of the patronage system in units 9 and 11 and the impact of this scheme on the voting result.
One of the most absurd instruments, the most unscrupulous used by this power were the patronageists. In flagrant violation of the law on protection and use of personal data, in serious violation of the constitutional right to privacy, the most distorted model of the kneeled individual and abused by the Rama government, became the most typical symbol of the violation of freedom and election justice", said Vokshi.
