Democrat Accuses PM of Using Women for Power’s Facade

Reality in Albania is different from the propaganda of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who uses women for the facade of his rule and has never given them real power, denounced Friday the Former MP of Democratic Party (DP) Albana Vokshi.

In Women's Week, the Chair of the Democratic Women's League, Vokshi, organized a march with women and girls to raise her voice for the disrespect and violation of women's rights in Albania.

Moreover, she encouraged women not to give up their right to be heard and to make decisions, especially when it comes to voting.

"Today, the unemployment rate is rising. Since 2014, about 80,000 women have emigrated for economic reasons. They have emigrated because of inequality, because of corruption, because of political persecution, because of political and nepotistic employment.

On April 25, women and girls with their vote will bring change. They are the main factor of change in Albania, because women will vote for the alternative of PD and Lulzim Basha. For higher wages, for more employment, for support to women entrepreneurs.

Women will vote for a government that does not see its own interest, but has the interest of Albanian families first. Together, as we are today, even more numerous in number, we will bring about change. On April 25, Albania and your families will win", said Vokshi.
