Former Democratic Party (DP) MP, Asllan Dogjani has entered the primaries that will be held within the opposition entity, in order to be elected as a 14 May 2023 local elections candidate for the municipality of Kamza. 

In a statement from the blue headquarters, he asked the democrats to vote for him, saying that "the victory in the Municipality of Kamza will be the biggest ever".

Dear Democrats and Democrats 
 
It is an honor for me to be part of the (preliminary) race for the Democratic Party Primaries and to announce today, officially, my candidacy for the mayor of Kamëz, within the Democratic Party. 
 
The citizens of Kamza, Bathora, Laknas, Valias, Paskuqan have a long history since the time when they came and settled in Kamza and Paskuqan, without having anything with them and with a lot of work, sweat and sacrifice, they built their lives making Kamza a better place for children and their families. 
 
Like my sister and many of my family and friends came for a better life in the Municipality of Kamza. 
 
Democrats, citizens of Kamza and Paskuqan are the most hardworking people I have known, dedicated, skilled, not humbled by the violence and discrimination that this government has done to you, and I have been very lucky to have known them. 
 
Many times they fell, they fell but they got back up and stronger and they never stopped, they never got tired and they always won in the face of every difficulty or obstacle that came before them. 
 
Today in Kamëz live together people who came from Kukësi, Dibra, Mati, Puka, Tropoja, Hasi, Mirdita, Gramshi, Zallmneri, Librazhdi, Korca, Skrapari and from all Albania and what is to be followed and congratulated is: 
 
That regardless of the different cultures today in Kamez and Paskuqan we have an excellent community that have very good relations with each other, have created friendships and are there for each other in good and difficult times.
 
I myself was born and raised in Kukës and have a long-term relationship with the citizens of Kamza and Paskuqani, with a long history of individual service and political activities. 
 
In the elections of 2013, but also in the elections of the previous year, the democrats, the citizens of Kamza and Paskuqani trusted me by massively voting for me as a candidate of the Democratic Party for the Assembly of Albania. 
 
This encouraged me and prompted me to officially announce my candidacy for mayor of Kamëz today. 
 
I would like to return the evaluation they gave me with my work by offering my time and service in the interest of every democrat and citizen of Kamza and Paskuqani. 
 
In Kamëz, the Democratic Party has worked hard, roads, sewers, and water systems have been built, but there is still a lot to do and this is the other reason that I have decided to run for mayor of Kamza, to make Kamza and Paskuqan a European city, a a model city, a positive example, a city where they can come and take an example of how to work and serve the citizens. 
 
My vision is for a safer, cleaner, developed city where the economy grows for everyone, where our children grow up healthy and successful in schools, where families don't have to risk their lives (as it happens today) to emigrate but live with respect and dignity in their country. 
 
My vision is to work to make Kamza a European city with equal opportunities and spaces for everyone, with parks and gardens, high quality roads. I will create a friendly environment for business and entrepreneurs. 
 
I will do everything, I will do my best by creating opportunities and spaces for young people who have left to return to their country, invest, and create their own businesses. 
 
We will do everything so that even the last house in Kamez and Paskuqan has uninterrupted water, roads and sewerage. No house will be left without legalization. 
 
Everyone will have the right to repair their houses without the need to get a permit and not as it happens today that if you don't pay, they don't allow you to repair the roof of the house. 
 
It will do everything to create opportunities, spaces, equal for every democrat, for every citizen of Kamza and Paskuqan by encouraging competition, meritocracy, we will fight corruption and build a capable, dedicated administration at the service of the citizens. 
 
He will do everything so that every democrat, every citizen of Kamza and Paskuqani can live freely in his country, have equal rights, without fear of the state and power, live with dignity in his country, no one will be discriminated against or abused by the state or the government because of origin, race, province, religion or idea. 
 
Democrats and Democrats, sympathizers of the Democratic Party, in Kamez and Paskuqan, I call on you to participate en masse on December 4 to choose who will be the candidate for mayor of Kamez Municipality.

I ask you to trust me with your vote and I assure you that the victory in the Municipality of Kamza will be the biggest ever and that together we can and will remove this government that does not deserve to stay even one more day in power. 
 
I assure you that we will do the best for you and the Kamez Municipality will be the home of every Democrat, it will be open to every citizen of Kamza and Paskuqani.
