At the conclusion of the statutory deadline for submitting expressions of interest for candidacy for three positions on the High Prosecutorial Council, six applications were submitted by prosecutors, as follows:

Pursuant to Article 109, of Law 115/2016 “On the Governance Bodies of the Justice System”, verification of compliance with the legal eligibility criteria will be carried out. Following the collection of information from the relevant institutions, the list of candidates will be published on the official website.

On 18 December 2026, the term of office of three members of the High Prosecutorial Council will expire: one member elected from among prosecutors of the First Instance Prosecution Offices, on member from among prosecutors of the Prosecution Office at the General Jurisdiction Court of Appeal, and one member from among prosecutors of the General Prosecution Office.
