A group of protesters gathered outside Police Station No. 3 in Tirana on Wednesday, demanding the release of 14 people arrested following clashes during Tuesday evening’s protest outside the Prime Minister’s Office.

The demonstrators, gathered near the station where some of the detainees are being held, chanted “Release the Albanians!” as they called for their immediate release.

The protest follows tensions that erupted during the 94th demonstration outside the Prime Minister’s Office. Police said 14 people were arrested in flagrante and three others were placed under criminal proceedings without detention.

According to police, protesters blocked entrances and exits to the government building and resisted officers who attempted to clear the area. Authorities said the case files have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office over alleged offenses including participation in unlawful gatherings, resisting police, disturbing public order and obstructing traffic.

The protest has now shifted from the Prime Minister’s Office to Police Station No. 3, where supporters continue to demand the release of those arrested.
