While the Socialists have set up a working group that will analyze the proposals for president of Albania, one of the names that have been mentioned in recent days is that of the military Dritan Demiraj. 

His name was initially proposed by the Vatra association, as a potential candidate for the presidency. In a reaction on social networks, Demiraj is very honored by this proposal and would be very willing to hold the post of president.

"I feel honored and very grateful for the proposal of Mr. Elmi Berisha, President of the Pan-Albanian Federation ‘VATRA’, the oldest and most respected organization in the US of Albanians in the Diaspora, to be the Diaspora candidate for President of the Republic of Albania. 

I immensely appreciate this proposal and express my maximum commitment to this high and responsible task in case I will be trusted by the Parliament of the Republic of Albania", emphasized Demiraj.
